    Technical Product Owner | (m/f/d) in Digital Health

    Start at medudoc education GmbH in October 2020 in Berlin.

    We are looking for:

    A new team member for our venture backed early stage startup that is driven to enhance patients and doctors lives through digital technology. As a startup, we rely on people that are self-driven, can think on their feet and are willing to try and learn new things. All while having a broad technological understanding (Data, Platforms, Ecosystems, Video) and always acting with deep empathy in regards to the users.

     

    As Technical Product Owner you will:

    • Support a cross-functional team of between 4-6 Engineers in the development of both the development platform, and our ecosystem of medical education products.

    • Collaborate with the team to define the product purpose, success criteria and quality metrics.

    • Translate insight from domain experts (doctors and health care professionals), user researchers, and the development team into clear deliverables, and support them in delivering against a roadmap.

    • Alongside the CTO and Principal Engineer you will support with establishing and ensuring sustainable software development processes which deliver performant and secure software.

    • Support in developing and maintaining the quality assurance processes, and the quality of the product.

    • Work closely with the CTO in developing practices which help to ensure data security and privacy.

    • Ensure the quality of the software product meets company Product Quality Objectives, and Service Level Objectives, via automated testing and monitoring tools.

    • Support with regulatory topics such as GDPR, CE-Mark, and MDR.
      Note: we are currently not developing a medical device, and aim to keep it that way.

    Your Profile:

    • 7+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years of team leadership experience.

    • You have a background in software development as a front-end, back-end, or quality engineer.

    • Strong communication skills, working with both local and remote stakeholders, and working with multi-region and distributed teams.

    • Experience in developing and running development processes, which enable teams to sustainably deliver high quality delivering scalable, safe, and sustainable software to high demand production environments.

    • You have a servant leadership mentality seriously, and have experience enabling your peers by applying coaching and mentorship patterns.

    • You are knowledgeable about software quality and are experienced in automated testing practices.

    • You have a thorough knowledge of applying agile development principles in real world scenarios.

    • You have passion for helping humans with technology, and care about ensuring that is reflected in the practices and approach of the team.

    • Thorough understanding of GDPR and data protection topics.

    • You are fluent in English (spoken and written).

    • Experience working with medical technology and medical device regulation is a huge plus.

    Senior Engineer (Backend) | (m/f/d) in Digital Health

    • Collaborate with the CTO and Principal Engineer on designing the solution architecture for core products and the wider medudoc platform.

    • Use techniques like test driven development, code reviews, and pair programming to help the team to ensure the delivery of high quality software.

    • Ensure the quality of the software product meets company Product Quality Objectives, and Service Level Objectives, via automated testing and monitoring tools.

    Your Profile:

    • 5+ years of server-side development in one of the following, the JVM ecosystem (Kotlin, Java, Scala), Node.js, or Go.

    • You have developed, deployed & maintained sustainable production applications.

    • You are experienced in designing scalable software architecture using modern technology and standards, as well as desire to work with new technologies.

    • You are knowledgeable about software quality and are experienced in automated testing practices.

    • You have a thorough knowledge of applying agile development principles in real world scenarios.

    • You have passion for helping humans with technology, and care about ensuring that is reflected in the practices and approach of the team.

    • You are fluent in English (spoken and written).

    • Experience with DevOps, serverless technology or Kubernetes is a bonus.

    • Ensure the quality of the software product meets company Product Quality Objectives, and Service Level Objectives, via automated testing and monitoring tools.

    Your Profile:

    • 5+ years JavaScript application development experience, and 3+ years of experience working with one of the major JS frameworks (React, Vue, Polymer, etc).

    • You have developed, deployed & maintained sustainable production applications, using modern technology and standards, as well as desire to work with new technologies.

    • You are experienced working with designers to deliver modular component driven front-end applications, which are accessible, and responsive by default.

    • You are knowledgeable about software quality and are experienced in automated testing practices.

    • You have a thorough knowledge of applying agile development principles in real world scenarios.
